About BTS Army: Forever We Are Young
From Seoul to Los Angeles, Texas to Mexico City, BTS ARMY is everywhere. FOREVER WE ARE YOUNG dives into the passionate fandom that catapulted 21st century pop icons BTS into a global household name. We meet fans at a BTS-focused ReactorCon in Lewisville, Texas, a dance instructor in Seoul who only teaches BTS choreography, and fans who’ve been organizing since 2013 to help BTS dominate the charts. Defying stereotypes of pop fans as screaming teen girls, ARMY is an intergenerational, culturally savvy, and socially active movement that is as diverse as the world itself. The film captures the powerful spirit of activism and collectivity that make ARMY a symbol of hope and unity in our ever-fractured world.
FOREVER WE ARE YOUNG is made BY ARMY FOR ARMY. The film centers on the fans themselves and celebrates their creativity, resilience, and deep emotional connection to the group. Though rooted in fandom, the film explores universal themes of belonging, identity, and self-love.

About the Guests
GRACE LEE (Director/Producer)
Grace (she/her) is a Peabody-winning filmmaker, whose directing and producing credits include doc series And She Could be Next, Asian Americans; and feature documentaries: American Revolutionary: The Evolution of Grace Lee Boggs, The Grace Lee Project and fiction films Janeane from Des Moines and American Zombie. She is BTS One True 7.
PATTY AHN (Director/Producer/SCA Alumnx)
Patty Ahn (they/them) is a filmmaker and professor in the Communication Department at the University of California, San Diego. Their research and teaching specialize in the study of K-Pop’s growing global influence, especially in the U.S. They recently co-edited the first English-language academic volumes on pop sensation BTS. Their favorite member of BTS is Jimin.
About Outside the Box [Office]
Outside the Box [Office] is a weekly showcase for upcoming releases highlighting world cinema, documentary and independent film titles. The series draws from around the globe to present movies that may challenge, inspire or simply entertain.

Check-In & Reservations
This program is open to all eligible individuals. The USC School of Cinematic Arts operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.
This screening is OPEN EXCLUSIVELY TO USC STUDENTS, FACULTY, and STAFF. NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. A reservation confirmation will automatically be sent to your e-mail account upon successfully making an RSVP through this website. Doors will open at 6:30 P.M.
All SCA screenings are OVERBOOKED to ensure seating capacity in the theater, therefore seating is not guaranteed based on RSVPs. The RSVP list will be checked in on a first-come, first-served basis until the theater is full. Once the theater has reached capacity, we will no longer be able to admit guests, regardless of RSVP status.

On-campus parking at the University of Southern California is limited. We recommend buying a day pass for the Royal Street Structure, located at the intersection of Royal Street and W.
