Scott Kroopf is a film and television producer whose career encompasses more than 70 projects across feature film, television, and transmedia, serving in producing, executive producing, and supervisory roles. His work spans studio and independent production, with a particular emphasis on long-form narrative, franchise development, and emerging production technologies.

He is a tenured Professor at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, where he teaches producing. He previously served as Head of the Producing Track and currently serves as Co-Head of the Virtual Production Program, contributing to curriculum development at the intersection of storytelling, production practice, and technological innovation.

His recent producing credits include Adulthood, directed by Alex Winter and premiered as a Gala selection at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, and Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020), directed by Dean Parisot. Earlier credits include Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, and Limitless, on which he also served as Co-Executive Producer of the CBS television series adaptation.

Kroopf has held senior executive leadership positions across multiple production companies. He served as Chief Creative Officer at Evergreen Studios, where he worked on the animated feature Walking with Dinosaurs and contributed to the development of proprietary virtual production tools. Previously, he was Vice Chairman and President of the Motion Picture Group at Intermedia and co-founded Radar Pictures with Ted Field, serving as President and Chief Operating Officer, where he developed and produced The Last Samurai, Zathura, The Chronicles of Riddick, Le Divorce, and How to Deal.

He began his career at Interscope Communications, rising to President and Chief Operating Officer, producing or supervising films including Jumanji, What Dreams May Come (Academy Award for Best Visual Effects), Mr. Holland’s Opus, and Pitch Black, among others. Earlier, he served as a Reader, Story Editor, and Executive in Charge of Production at Embassy Pictures. He holds a B.A. in Drama, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Irvine.
