GAIL DAUGHTRY AND THE CELEBRITY SEX PASS
July 8, 2026, 7:00 P.M.
The Eileen Norris Cinema Theater at the Frank Sinatra Hall, 3507 Trousdale Parkway, Los Angeles, CA 90007
Small town hairdresser Gail Daughtry is engaged to her devoted high school sweetheart, Tom. Her life takes a turn when a trip to a book signing leads to Tom meeting – and sleeping – with his “celebrity pass”. Reeling from the betrayal, Gail impulsively joins her friend Otto on a trip to Los Angeles, where a psychic convinces Gail that the only way to save her marriage is to “even the scales” with her own celebrity pass: Jon Hamm. Thus begins an epic journey through Tinseltown as Gail and Otto join forces with a talent agency assistant, a paparazzo, and actor John Slattery, all in the search for Hamm. Along the way, they collide with celebrities and are hunted by a group of Italian assassins as they get ever closer to finding the elusive star.
TOO MUCH SLEEP
July 9, 2026, 7:00 P.M.
The Ray Stark Family Theatre, SCA 108, George Lucas Building, USC School of Cinematic Arts Complex, 900 W. 34th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007
Jack is stuck in neutral. He lives with his mom in suburban New Jersey, works as a security guard, and can barely get out of bed in the morning. All that changes when he sees a cute girl on the bus – and then realizes seconds later that his gun is missing. Desperate to find it, he enlists the help of a fast-talking middle-aged maybe-gangster named Eddie, who sends Jack on an epic quest to explore the darkest, strangest corners of American suburbia. Will Jack ever find his gun? Or better yet, maybe that cute girl from the bus?
Critically hailed as “a treasure” (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times), “a gem” (Amy Taubin, Village Voice) and "wickedly smart” (Steve Rosen, Denver Post), Too Much Sleep was nearly lost forever when its original distributor closed weeks into its original theatrical run. Virtually unseen for 23 years, the film is now presented in a newly restored 4K scan from its original camera negative. It’s time to visit the sweet ennui of the 90’s!

With a star-studded cast including "girls with guns" legend Moon Lee (ANGEL TERMINATORS II), Phillip Ko (THE BOXER'S OMEN), and Ray Lui (HUNTING LIST) and a car chase so irresponsible that you'll never forget it, FATAL TERMINATION is one of the wildest Hong Kong action films ever made.

Ben Gazzara (THE KILLING OF A CHINESE BOOKIE) gave one of his most happy-go-lucky turns in Peter Bogdanovich’s SAINT JACK, the tale of an American hustler whose chaotic business it is to “satisfy the needs” of visiting businessmen in Vietnam War-era Singapore. “Saint Jack” Flowers’ philosophy: “people make love for so many crazy reasons, why shouldn’t money be one of them?” Gazzara plays Flowers as a breezy Fitzcarraldo type, a man preternaturally driven towards delivering the classiest brothel and the absolute best in carnal pleasures to GIs, ex-pats and other wayward souls lost amongst southeast Asia.

New 4K Restoration! Rio de Janeiro’s criminal underworld is run by an unexpected boss: Diaba (Milton Gonçalves, Carandiru), a femme queen with a taste for power and violence. When the police come after her boy toy, Diaba attempts to find a scapegoat to take the blame and a plot to dethrone Her Majesty arises! Always clad in gloriously colorful outfits and accessories inspired by Afro-Brazilian culture, Diaba runs a mob of eccentric misfits made up of drag queens, pimps, prostitutes, and queer folks of all stripes. The movie’s bold and audacious color palette and camp aesthetic evokes the early films of Pedro Almodóvar, while its stylized and over-the-top violence is giving Quentin Tarantino queer fever dream.

ONE NIGHT ONLY
July 29, 2026, 7:00 P.M.
The Eileen Norris Cinema Theater at the Frank Sinatra Hall, 3507 Trousdale Parkway, Los Angeles, CA 90007
What if one messy night turns out to be the best thing that ever happened to you? This summer, Will Gluck, the filmmaker of Anyone but You and Easy A, celebrates modern romantic comedy on the big screen with a fresh, witty, swoony original film about searching for love on the least romantic night of the year. Academy Award® nominee Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown, Top Gun: Maverick) and BAFTA nominee Callum Turner (Masters of the Air, Fantastic Beasts franchise) star as Allie and Owen, two love-starved strangers who crash into each other in an ever-so-slightly fictionalized New York City on the one night of the year when single people are allowed to have sex. Recently dumped Owen and hopeful romantic Allie might be the only two singles in the city looking for more than just a quick encounter. They both feel a spark when they meet, but a series of missteps and side quests complicate their night, keeping them apart. As they each race toward and away from each other across the city, they just might discover that the one thing they want most is closer than they think.

Fans of mutant martial arts mania and cult movie discoveries rejoice: CHALLENGE OF THE LADY NINJA is another unearthed Taiwanese B-movie brainbomb to savor. This WWII-era espionage wuxia with an all-female squad of ass-kickers is filled to the brim with riotous touches…not only supernatural stuff like teleportation and shadow clones but also sleazy training montages, hypnotic seduction techniques, stolen music from both STAR WARS and “Frosty The Snowman”, anachronistic ‘70s Cadillac sedans and ‘80s hairdo blowouts, oil wrestling, fantastic outfits and much bloody bladework.
