What happens when SCA students start working together? As the Coca Cola slogan says: Real Magic! That’s exactly what happened when SCA alumni Amirah Adem ’25 and Biola Olateru-Olagbegi ’25 met as SCA students competing in the Coca-Cola Refreshing Films Program. Initially on separate projects, their friendship and creative partnership began when Biola's original project didn't advance in the competition and Amirah's producer dropped out just as she advanced to a finalist in the program.

In true Trojan fashion, Biola came on board to Amirah's project and the duo went on to make SCA history as the first USC group in more than 15 years to reach the program’s finals. And they did not disappoint.
 
With a majority Trojan crew behind them, Amirah and Biola captured two of the programs’ three awards, including the Cinemark Favorite Award, which secured nationwide theatrical distribution. Their commercial will screen at more than 516 Cinemark theaters, across 5,800 screens, from October 24 to November 27.
 
For moviegoers across the country, that means a touch of Trojan filmmaking magic will be lighting up the big screen this month. Fight On!

Check Out A Cinema Groove: 

A Cinema’s Groove follows two young women who arrive at a movie theater, and as the music beat drops, they begin dancing through the lobby. Their rhythmic movements inspire the entire crowd to join in, turning the theater into a synchronized, dance-filled spectacle. As they all settle into their seats in perfect harmony, the lights dim and the groove fades, leaving a cinematic rhythm in the air.
