2009 SCA Alphie Winners Announced

Two-minute stories based on the first weeks as a USC student

The winners of this year’s Alphie competition were announced today after a brief presentation and screening of all submissions. Open to all SCA freshmen, the Alphies is SCA’s new creative competition in which competitors create a two-minute visual story based on their first six weeks as a USC student. To heighten the challenge, students had to find their own resources when creating the video – no SCA equipment or resources could be used. Winning teams were presented with either the Silver, Gold or Grand Prix statuettes. The panel of judges for the competition were impressed by the competitors’ creativeness, resourcefulness and professionalism throughout the process, and, in congratulating everyone on their work, told competitors to “be proud, and think of yourselves as finalists, even if you didn’t win the Grand Prix award.”
