ZdC (borrowed from Jean Vigo's 1933 film Zéro de conduite) is the representative organization for graduate students in the Division of Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Southern California. We hope to sponsor professional and intellectual development initiatives and foster social interaction among students in the program. Housed in The School of Cinematic Arts, we have over 30 doctoral and over 35 master's candidates who represent a wide range of research areas across film, television, and digital media and covering a diverse range of methodologies and topics.
Each year we host First Forum, our student-run conference, and several colloquia which brings together graduate students and faculty from around the country and the world to discuss issues relevant to the current state of cinema and media studies.
