The flagship program for K-12 education at the IML was the Wallis Annenberg Initiative. Begun in 2003, through the vision and generous support of Wallis Annenberg, this program included middle school teachers and administrators from across the nation to provide professional development in media literacy and media arts. In particular, the program focused on efforts to integrate media literacy and media arts into the curricula of multiple and diverse disciplines. This report offers an overview in particular of the 2005-06 stage of the initiative, and documents the curriculum and program of professional development offered to participants over the course of a year.
