Chuck Ghislandi has over 25 years of experience in the field of motion capture animation and virtual production. Chuck is currently serving as the Senior Manager of Motion Capture Animation at Sony Interactive Entertainment since July 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Motion Capture Manager at the same company from December 2018 to July 2023.

Before joining Sony, in 2016, Chuck founded Encaptivate LLC, a motion capture and virtual production consulting company. Encaptivate most recently consulted on the post-production of the motion capture data that was recorded for Dune 2 as well as the data for the Star Citizen game.

Chuck also served as a Motion Capture Supervisor at Fox VFX Lab from September 2017 to November 2018 where he got to work on The Call of The Wild and Mouse Guard.

Additionally, he worked at the Technicolor Experience Center as a Virtual Production Supervisor from September 2016 to September 2017. Chuck also held the role of Motion Capture Production Manager at 2K from May 2015 to September 2016.

Furthermore, he served as a Motion Capture Consultant and Supervisor at Animatrik Film from August 2014 to May 2015. During this time, he was part of the Simulcam Team that worked on Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book

Prior to these positions, Chuck worked at GameOn Audio as a Motion and Animation Director from October 2012 to July 2014. He was involved in the design, setup, and management of a performance capture/virtual production studio in Montreal, overseeing motion capture and animation production from his home in Los Angeles.

Earlier in his career, Chuck was employed at THQ as a Technical Animation Director from March 2010 to October 2012, responsible for animation productions in the WWE and UFC games. Chuck also worked at Vicon House of Moves as an Entertainment Product Manager from August 2008 to April 2010.

Finally, Chuck held dual roles at Midway Games, serving as an Animation Director from July 2006 to July 2008 and as the Lead Animator of the Cinematics Team from January 2005 to July 2006.

Chuck Ghislandi attended Loyola Academy College Prep from 1985 to 1989, he then attended Purdue University from 1989 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Graphics. After working professionally as a graphic designer for several years after graduating from Purdue, in 1999, Chuck went back to school to pursue a degree in his true passion, animation. He applied
