Mike has specialized in previsualization for the feature film industry for the past nineteen years. After studying Graphic Design at the University of Michigan and Animation at the Academy of Art University, he spent the first four years of his career working on live-action VFX tent pole films such as Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Tron: Legacy, Spiderwick Chronicles, Alice in Wonderland,, Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In addition to his previs work on features, Mike contributed to early development on several projects at Walden Media and participated in a John Singleton-led exploration of A-Team at 20th Century Fox.

In 2009, Mike transitioned to animated features and spent a decade at DreamWorks Animation, contributing to films like Croods, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Kung Fu Panda 3, Abominable, and Croods 2. He later moved to Netflix where he worked as a Lead Artist on Sea Beast. Over the last three years, Mike has served as Head of Previs on The Witch Boy, Fear of Flying (short), Prince of Port au Prince, and currently, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
