Michael Mayer is an award-winning director and writer. His films have screened at over 150 film festivals, won numerous awards and played in theaters across the country and around the world as well as on Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, Mubi, Tubi and others. His film, Out in the Dark premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award honoring the film’s representation of LGBTQ+ issues and its impact on mainstream culture. In 2024 Mayer directed Jaffa, an 8-episode thriller series for France’s Federation Studios (The Agency). An active member of the European Film Academy Mayer also teaches directing at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles.
