Yvette M. Amirian is an award-nominated film and television editor.
A proud graduate of SCA’s Production program, Yvette discovered and developed her passion for editing during her time at USC. A successful editing career has opened doors to more recent ventures as a producer and writer. Her work has aired on networks like CBS, The CW, Fox, MTV, Lifetime, National Geographic, Netflix, and many more.
In 2011, Yvette received an Eddie Award nomination from the American Cinema Editors for her work on Animal Planet’s Whale Wars. She was a lead editor on the six-time Emmy Award-nominated series for four seasons. Her work on the final season as a supervising producer garnered her team the show’s third ACE Eddie Award nomination.
Most recently, an A&E documentary Yvette edited and produced for fellow SCA alum John Singleton, L.A. Burning: The Riots 25 Years Later, was nominated for a Primetime Emmy, Outstanding Documentary Special.
Yvette is a member of the Motion Picture Editor’s Guild and the Academy of TV Arts & Sciences. In addition to working professionally, she loves teaching the next generation of filmmakers at her alma mater. Yvette lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son.
