Rebekah McKendry, PhD is an award-winning director, writer, and producer with a specialty in the horror genre. Rebekah began her film career working for Fangoria Entertainment and went on to become Editor-in-Chief for Blumhouse Productions, as well as writing for media companies like Shudder, Universal, AMP, AMC, Fangoria, Sony, Phoenix, and multiple video games. Rebekah has a PhD in Media Arts, as well as Masters degrees in both Film Studies and Education. Rebekah has written several books and comics including Barstow from Dark Horse Comics, Pretty Evil coming in 2026 from Simon and Schuster, and Creepy Bitches from Bear Manor Media. Rebekah is also an award-winning podcaster currently hosting Fangoria’s Colors of the Dark Podcast.
