Nate Jakus is a Writer-Director who hails from an interdisciplinary background in photography, visual effects and architecture, having designed built works for Hyundai Motors, LACMA and TBWA\Chiat\Day, in his past career life. He started the film production company, Phosphonos, to foster a high-performance creative collective, which now has network hubs in LA, NY and DC.

In addition to running the studio, Nate teaches CTPR 481 Advanced Directing at his alma mater, the School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) at the University of Southern California (USC), where he has previously served as co-faculty for CTPR 285, Lateral Thinking in Film Practice, as Chair of the grad directing program committee and advisor on the advanced directing tech steering committee.

Nate has directed ads and branded content across the U.S. and work abroad in Spain, Ireland, and Italy for clients such as Leica Camera, NeueHouse and CBRE, in addition to projects in development for TV and Film.
