Yasemin Alammar

Yasemin Yilmaz Alammar is a professional writer and producer of television and film. Her work ranges from broadcast, Fox’s The Exorcist, to streaming, Netflix original series The Protector

Yasemin received her B.A. in English from the University of California - Los Angeles. She also holds an M.F.A. in Writing for Film and Television at the University of Southern California, where she was awarded the Alfred P. Sloan Screenwriting Fellowship and graduated with distinction. The short film she co-wrote at USC, Lalo’s House, has gone on to receive numerous awards, including the prestigious Student Academy Award.

Calling upon her understanding of diverse cultures and experiences, Yasemin has penned scripts set in China, Italy, Haiti and even… Space. 

Prior to embarking on her journey as a screenwriter, Yasemin worked as a defense contractor, translator and fortune-teller.
