Affiliated Divisions:

John Wells Division of Writing for Screen & Television

Siavash Farahani (WGA)  is an Iranian-American writer, director, producer and music composer. Born amid a bloody revolution and war, he fled Iran as a child and became a refugee in Norway, before subsequently relocating to Los Angeles. There he studied film at USC School of Cinematic Arts where his undergrad thesis film Ingenue along with his breakthrough first screenplay Domino Falling launched his professional career.

Now a veteran of the industry, he has written and script doctored numerous projects in both film and television for HBOMax, AMC, CBS, Amazon, 20th Century Fox, Columbia/Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers and Disney, among others. Finding refuge from war and displacement in books, comics and movies from an early age, his love of storytelling is deeply rooted in the transformational powers of story. Often collaborating with his writing partner and sister Dana Farahani, their work blends high octane, world building tentpole stories in the genres of sci-fi, action/adventure, horror/thriller and fantasy, elevated with character driven narratives that center around social justice and humanitarian themes. His most recent produced credits include Blood & Treasure (CBS), The Walking Dead: World Beyond (AMC), and Dune: Prophecy (HBOMax).  Currently he is working on a feature adaptation of his original short story The Last Tiger, produced by Westbrook and Antoine Fuqua. He is represented by WME and Circle of Confusion.

In addition to his professional career, he has taught writing for film and television at SCA since 2011, where he instructs and mentors the next generation of Jedi storytellers.
