Miles Watkins has been a successful director of documentaries, episodic television and pilots, and movies, for which he has been honored for his work.

While at the American Film Institute’s Center for Advanced Film Studies on a directing fellowship, Watkins was associated with the launching of a Workshop for Women in the Arts and participated in training Lily Tomlin, Maya Angelou, Lee Grant, Dyan Cannon, Margot Kidder, Ellen Burstyn, Lynn Littman and many others.

Among the awards he has received since earning his Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of Cinematic Arts is the Meyrig Award for Best Student Film, and the Scott Newman Award for directing the television series, Life Goes On.

Watkins is a member of the Directors Guild, Screen Actors Guild, and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
