Duwayne Dunham

DUWAYNE DUNHAM graduated from the San Francisco State University Film Program with a BA in Film. Upon graduation, his first project was apprentice editor on “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest,” directed by Milos Foreman. He then worked as an assistant to George Lucas for seven years and as an editor on “Return Of The Jedi.” After completion of that project, he went to work with director David Lynch editing “Blue Velvet” and “Wild At Heart.” While editing the latter film, Lynch gave Dunham the opportunity to direct three episodes of his highly innovative television series “Twin Peaks.” Duwayne received an Emmy Award for outstanding editing on the pilot episode of that show. Duwayne directed his first feature film, “Homeward Bound The Incredible Journey,” for Walt Disney pictures. He then went on to direct “Little Giants” for Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros. In January of 2005, Duwayne received a Director’s Guild Of America Award Nomination for his work on “Tiger Cruise.” Duwayne has extensive knowledge and experience with SPECIAL EFFECTS and is proficient with PRE-VIZ TECHNOLOGY and 3D - CGI ANIMATION. He has directed several episodes of George Lucas’s STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, a highly innovative CGI animated series produced by Lucasfilm. Duwayne has also directed a variety of Movies for Television, as well as Episodic Television and Commercials. He currently has several film projects in development and is an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts.
