Dear Colleagues,

As you may know, the university conducts a New Student Convocation every year to welcome our new class. The Convocation for the class of 2029 is scheduled for August 21, 2025, from 8:30am – 10:30 am. An academic processional of trustees, senior administration, deans, and student flag bearers, representing each academic department on campus, will process from McCarthy Quad into Alumni Park. Each Academic Dean will also give remarks to recognize the new student class.

The schools are asked to select faculty marshals for the procession, one for each fifty graduates. We'll need four to five marshals given our numbers. The marshals will assist with the assembly and processional of the SCA’s students on the morning of August 21.

The Vice Deans are asking for volunteers willing to participate.
