DEENA KASHPER (Writer, Director, Producer)
Deena Kashper graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Political Science. Soon after, she began creating award-winning commercials and branded entertainment for companies including Miracle Whip, PepsiCo-Aquafina, and TMZ. Deena's most recent executive producing and directing credits include comedic series for Hearst, Cosmopolitan, and the American Heart Association and her digital series for Women in Film premiered at the 2017 Crystal Lucy Awards. The pilot that Deena directed and executive produced, Baby Love, made its world premiere at SXSW in 2019. Deena's feature film, Nuked, starring Justin Bartha and Anna Camp, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2024 and will be released internationally in the summer of 2025.
In 2016, Kashper directed and executive produced/co-wrote the webseries, Cannabis Moms Club, which was lauded by NPR as one of “The Best Webseries on the Internet.” Vanity Fair compared its “hilarious,” “insular, stylized absurdity” to an Elaine May monologue. Her most recent short film, How to Survive a Breakup, is available on Amazon and streaming on Condé Nast’s The Scene. The short won the Audience Award at its premiere at the 2015 LA ComedyFest and screened to sold-out crowds at the 2016 Santa Barbara Film Festival. Its debut at the Palm Springs International ShortFest led to an international distribution deal with MagnetFilm and partnerships with Tribeca Films and United Airlines. The comedy pilot, Thirty*ish*, which Deena co-wrote, directed and produced, made its premiere in 2013 at NewFilmmakers Festival in LA and won Best TV Pilot at the Mexico International Film Festival. Deena is currently in pre-production on her original feature film, A Broad Alone, shooting in the fall of 2025 in Italy.
ANNA CAMP (Actor)
Anna Camp is a celebrated actress and creative talent known for her versatility across television, film, and stage, delivering memorable performances in both comedic and dramatic roles.
Camp can be seen co-starring in Peacock’s thriller, HYSTERIA!, opposite Julie Bowen. The series follows a high school metal band that exploits their town’s “Satanic Panic” when a varsity quarterback goes missing. Camp plays a Midwestern mother and devout Christian who becomes an unlikely yet powerful town leader. The ensemble cast includes Bruce Campbell, Garret Dillahunt, Nikki Hahn, Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, and Kenzii Curtis. HYSTERIA! premiered October 18, 2024 on the streamer.
Most recently, Camp wrapped production on the fifth and final season of Netflix’s thriller series, YOU, where she will portray twin sisters-in-law to Penn Badgley’s anti-hero. The season is set to premiere on April 24, 2025. She is also reuniting with Rebel Wilson in the much-anticipated action-comedy BRIDE HARD. Magenta Light Studios will release the comedy nationwide on June 20, 2025. In December of 2024, it was announced that Camp would be joining the stacked ensemble cast of SCREAM 7. She joins Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Joel McHale, Mark Consuelos, Isabel May, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mckenna Grace, and Mason Gooding in the latest installment of the long-running horror franchise.
In June 2024, Camp appeared opposite Justin Bartha in the comedy NUKED, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Earlier in the year, she starred in the short film NEO-DOME, which premiered at SXSW and won the Audience Award for the “Independent TV Pilot Competition.” In April 2023, Camp both starred in and executive produced the AMC/Shudder horror film FROM BLACK.
One of Camp’s most iconic roles is ‘Aubrey,’ the leader of the Barden Bellas, in Universal Studios’ smash-hit Pitch Perfect trilogy. The films became a global phenomenon, celebrated for their blend of comedy, music, and uplifting themes of friendship and empowerment, firmly establishing Camp’s place in pop culture. Her performance added humor, depth, and charm to the franchise, contributing significantly to its critical acclaim and box office success.
In 2022, Camp starred alongside Bryan Cranston and Annette Bening in the Paramount+ comedy JERRY & MARGE GO LARGE and appeared in Sony Pictures' 5,000 BLANKETS. Other notable films include Sundance favorite A LITTLE PRAYER with Jane Levy and David Strathairn, Paramount’s THE LOVEBIRDS with Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae, and the western MURDER AT YELLOWSTONE CITY with Gabriel Byrne and Richard Dreyfuss. Camp's additional film credits include GOODBYE TO ALL THAT, Netflix’s DESPERADOS, Woody Allen’s CAFE SOCIETY, the indie drama HERE AWHILE, UNEXPECTED (produced by Patricia Heaton), and the Academy Award-nominated THE HELP.
On television, Camp is recognized for starring in Amazon’s critically acclaimed drama GOOD GIRLS REVOLT and NBC’s comedy PERFECT HARMONY alongside Bradley Whitford. She is also known for her roles as ‘Deirdre Robespierre’ in Netflix’s UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, created by Tina Fey, and ‘Sarah Newlin’ on HBO’s TRUE BLOOD. Other television appearances include NBC's THE OFFICE, major recurring roles on AMC's MAD MEN and CBS's THE GOOD WIFE, as well as guest spots on Fox’s GLEE and CBS’s HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.
On stage, Camp has made her mark on Broadway, starring opposite Daniel Radcliffe in the 2008 revival of EQUUS and in Mike Nichols’ THE COUNTRY GIRL with Morgan Freeman and Frances McDormand. Her Off-Broadway work includes ALL NEW PEOPLE, earning a Drama Desk Award nomination, THE SCENE with Patricia Heaton and Tony Shalhoub, which garnered a Lucille Lortel Award nomination, and VERITE at LCT3 Lincoln Center. Most recently, she performed in 2:22: A GHOST STORY with Constance Wu and Finn Wittrock at the Ahmanson Theatre in LA, and BELLEVILLE with Thomas Sadoski at the Pasadena Playhouse.
A native of South Carolina, Anna Camp currently splits her time between Los Angeles and Palm Springs.
JUSTIN BARTHA (Actor, Executive Producer)
Known by many for starring in two beloved billion-dollar franchises, Todd Phillips' "The Hangover" trilogy and the "National Treasure" movies, Justin Bartha most recently co-starred in the critically acclaimed shows "The Godfather of Harlem", "The Good Fight" and the standalone episode “THE Big Payback” on FX's Atlanta. Other recent credits include reprising his role of "Riley Poole" in Disney+'s "National Treasure: Edge of History", "Sweet Girl" opposite Jason Momoa for Netflix and Nick Hamm's "Driven" alongside Jason Sudeikis. Additionally, Bartha co-starred in Elizabeth Wood's "White Girl," "Holy Rollers" opposite Jesse Eisenberg, Todd Solondz's "Dark Horse", "The Rebound" opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones, "Failure To Launch" opposite Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Murphy's "The New Normal."
Stage credits include the Tony®-nominated revival of "Lend Me A Tenor" opposite Tony Shaloub, Jesse Eisenberg's "Asunción," Robert Askins' "Permission" and Neil Simon's "Sunshine Boys." Justin most recently starred in the independent feature "Nuked" alongside Anna Camp, Lucy Punch and Natasha Leggero as well as “Miracle on 74th Street” with Jill Kargman and David Krumholtz.

This program is open to all eligible individuals. The USC School of Cinematic Arts operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination.
