About Spinning Gold
Spinning Gold is the larger-than-life, untold tale of the man who discovered music superstars Donna Summer (Last Dance, Hot Stuff, Love To Love You Baby, Bad Girls, On The Radio), Gladys Knight,(Midnight Train To Georgia), The Isley Brothers (It’s Your Thing!, Fight The Power), Bill Withers (Lean On Me, Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone) and KISS (Rock ‘n Roll All Night, Shout It Out Loud, Beth)… yes, KISS.
It is the true story behind Casablanca Records - the most successful independent record label of all time – and its creator Neil Bogart who was the ultimate hustler, gambler, dreamer and visionary, and who brought the world some of the most iconic music of a generation.
Spinning Gold takes you behind the creation of some of the most iconic songs of our time including Gladys Knight writing “Midnight Train to Georgia”, the creation of Donna Summer’s hit “Love to Love You, Baby” and the inspiration behind Kiss’s “Beth”.
Rated R. Running time: 137 minutes.
