About Mosquito State
Isolated in his austere penthouse overlooking Central Park, obsessive Wall Street data analyst Richard Boca (Beau Knapp) sees ominous patterns: His computer models are behaving erratically, as are the swarms of mosquitos breeding in his apartment, an infestation that attends his psychological meltdown. In addition to Knapp (The Good Lord Bird, Seven Seconds), Mosquito State stars Charlotte Vega (Wrong Turn, American Assassin), Jack Kesy (The Outpost, Deadpool 2), and Olivier Martinez (Unfaithful, Before Night Falls).
About the Guests
FILIP JAN RYMSZA (Writer, Director, Producer)
Los Angeles-based, Polish-born filmmaker best known for completing Orson Welles’ final film, THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND, which had its world premiere at the 2018 Venice International Film Festival.

In 2020, Filip returned to Venice with two films; HOPPER/WELLES, an intimate 1970 conversation between film giants Dennis Hopper and Orson Welles, and MOSQUITO STATE, which was awarded the Bisato d’Oro for Best Cinematography. The International Association of Film Critics praised it as:
“A masterful work that gives life to a Kafkaesque reality, rendering us unable to escape our dreams and nightmares. A film full of metaphors and visions that, thanks to its photography, gives strange, but decisive and extreme, emotions.”
Following Venice, MOSQUITO STATE went on to screen in Moscow, Sitges, New Horizons, Geneva, Tallin, Gerardmer, and IndieLisboa, receiving additional awards along the way.
