December 4, 2018, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

SCA 112

You are invited to a SPECIAL ADVANCE PRIVATE SCREENING of…

BEHIND THE BULLET

Tuesday, December 4th
Time: 7:00 PM
Location: SCA 112 Albert R. & Dana Broccoli Theater

This is a special private screening followed by a special Q&A with filmmaker Heidi Yewman and moderated by Prof. Jeremy Kagan

Free Admission. RSVP REQUIRED. Open to SCA students, faculty, and staff ONLY.

Behind the Bullet explores a side of gun violence that’s rarely talked about- the impact a shooting has on the shooter. The film takes an intimate, non-polarizing look at how taking a life forever changed four people emotionally, psychologically and spiritually, offering a powerful new perspective on gun violence in the United States.

Director Heidi Yewman’s passion for gun violence prevention began in 1999 when her former teacher and coach was killed in the Columbine High School massacre along with 12 students. In 2009, she wrote the book, Beyond the Bullet: Personal Stories of Gun Violence Aftermath, profiling 19 people forever altered by the impact of gun violence.

Check-In & Reservations

This screening is free of charge and open to the public. Please bring a valid USC ID or print out of your reservation confirmation, which will automatically be sent to your e-mail account upon successfully making an RSVP through this website. Doors will open at 6:30 PM.
