About Glenn Weiss


Glenn Weiss is an award winning Executive Producer and Director of live Variety Television. His wide ranging credits are saturated with the most acclaimed and highly rated television specials, stadium spectaculars and events in history as well as being at the helm of events that truly became a part of history. He has worked with a virtual who's who on stage and screen.... from Presidents of the United States, to chart topping music acts, A-list actors from all genres, Broadways casts, symphony orchestras, solo performers and casts of thousands. The critically acclaimed body of his work has appeared on every major broadcast network, both domestically and around the world. He has created and staged some of the biggest spectacles in the world while also excelling in the creation of some of the most intimate moments on television. Mr. Weiss’s hallmark style is in creating an intimate connection between the performers and the viewers while making sure the program still feels grand in scale.


Weiss has been recognized with 13 Emmy Awards and 35 nominations. He is also a 7-time Directors Guild of America Award recipient and has been nominated 13 times. His body of work includes such shows as The Oscars, The Tony Awards, Peter Pan Live!, The Emmy Awards, The Kennedy Center Honors, The Superbowl Halftime Show, American Music Awards, ACM Awards, Billboard Awards, BET Awards, Kids Choice Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Earth Live, Night of Too Many Stars, Garth Brooks Live from Las Vegas, Live from Lincoln Center: Carousel with the New York Philharmonic, The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, Best Time Ever, Rock the Troops, several Democratic Conventions, Presidential Inaugural Balls, and many more. Mr. Weiss has also served on the DGA National Board and is a member of the Director’s Peer Group Executive Committee for the Television Academy.

Check-In & Reservations


This event is free of charge and open to the public. Please bring a valid USC ID or print out of your reservation confirmation, which will automatically be sent to your e-mail account upon successfully making an RSVP through this website. Doors will open at 6:30 P.M.

All SCA screenings are OVERBOOKED to ensure seating capacity in the theater, therefore seating is not guaranteed based on RSVPs. The RSVP list will be checked in on a first-come, first-served basis until the theater is full. Once the theater has reached capacity, we will no longer be able to admit guests, regardless of RSVP status.

Parking


The USC School of Cinematic Arts is located at 900 W. 34th St., Los Angeles, CA 90007. Parking passes for the USC Royal Street Structure may be purchased for $12.00 at the USC Royal Street Entrance, located at the intersection of W. Jefferson Blvd. & Royal Street, across from the Shrine Auditorium.
