Allison grew up in Houston, Texas and attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she earned an M.A. in Screenwriting. In Los Angeles she has developed for all the Major studios as well as written for over a dozen television series including “Home Improvement” “Boy Meets World” and MTV’s “Awkward.” She created the “Reba” series which ran for six seasons on the WB and is still running in syndication and streaming on Hulu and Netflix.

While still active in television development, she has recently partnered with her husband to produce independent features under their company banner Bee Caves Road Entertainment.
