Peter Bonerz started in standup in NYC in 1961. By ’65 he was in LA working as an actor in film and tv; Through the seventies he was an actor/director on The Bob Newhart Show, The Mary Tyler Moore show, Archie Bunker’s Place, The Karen Valentine Show, andthe Tony Randall Show (and more). In the eighties he directed the pilot and 26 episodes of ER, as well as many other pilots (the Shelley Winters Show, Together We Stand, Recovery Room, Foley Square, The George Burns Show, etc). He spent the 90s directing TV--Murphy Brown, Room for Two, Iron Men, Flying blind, Love and War, Home Improvement--the list goes on and on. He continues as a tv director, specializing in comedy to this day (My Big Fat Greek Life, The Stones, Shacking up, What I Like About You), as an actor: ( Three Sisters, Retired at 35) and as a stage director ( Oscar and Felix, at the Geffen Playhouse). He is one of the most significant comedy directors and actors of the last 40 years.
