Division of Film & Television Production

Writer-director Anne Hamilton grew up loving genre films and photography. Her directorial debut, AMERICAN FABLE, premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and was acquired by IFC Midnight for a theatrical release. RogerEbert.com praised Hamilton’s film as “an extremely impressive debut,” and Variety hailed it as “a passport to bigger things for its gifted young director.” Since then, Hamilton has developed feature and television projects for major studios including Paramount and Miramax, and she has directed episodic television for both network and streaming platforms.

Hamilton is a graduate of AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women, Yale Law School, as well as the NBC Female Forward Directing Program, the CBS Diversity Directing Initiative, and the Fox Filmmaker Labs. She is a member of the DGA and the WGA, and she serves as a mentor for the Young Survivors Coalition.
