Bailey Cool

Bailey Cool holds a B.A. in Media Arts Producing from the University of Arizona and an M.A. in Film and Media Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, with research focused on civic engagement through the democratization of media content and how emerging artists navigate the "gig economy" and creative economy in innovative ways. Prior to joining the Peter Stark Producing team at USC, Bailey worked in a variety of student-facing roles at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), including serving as the Director of the Patty Disney Center for Life and Work and the Director of Programs and Operations for the CalArts Community Arts Partnership (CAP). Bailey is a founding producer and curator of the "Making Movies that Matter" Youth Film Festival, focused on enhancing media literacy and storytelling through the use of mobile devices by placing filmmakers in schools in partnership with LAUSD and the City of Los Angeles.
