Administrative Assistant II
As Administrative Assistant, Jacob's primary responsibilities include overseeing the Student Worker Office, Departmental Assistants, managing the Division Calendar, and promoting upcoming classes and seminars. He also ensures the printers have paper, the ink wells never run dry, and the faculty are fully caffeinated. Jacob is an actor and recent graduate of the John Well’s Division of Writing for Screen and Television. He's worked with such LA companies as Mad Massive Entertainment, Norman Lear's Act III Productions (ONE DAY AT A TIME), Hivemind (WITCHER, THE EXPANSE), and Zero Gravity Management (OZARK). He’s the inaugural recipient of the Victoria Aveyard Scholarship.
Prior to joining the administrative team, he could be spotted in regional theatre houses across the US, and occasionally Canada. He bakes a lot of bread, and created his sourdough starter prior to the pandemic. In addition to his masters degree, he holds a BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University, and was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award for his role in a production of Singin' in the Rain. He began his creative life as a performer in a traveling, New England-based circus, and is pleasantly astonished his path has led him here.
