Before receiving his MFA in Film & Television Production from USC, Jared graduated summa cum laude from Elon University as a Communications Fellow, studying Cinema & Television Arts and Photography. In between college and grad school, he worked as an Editor at Gunpowder & Sky and as an Assistant Editor at Rock Paper Scissors, both of which he previously interned for as a student. While studying at Elon, Jared was part of a research project that brought him to United Nations conferences in Berlin, Paris, Geneva, San José, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., where he served as the team's Video Director for hundreds of video interviews.

Jared now works at USC School of Cinematic Arts as the Physical Production Coordinator, and works as a freelance 1st Assistant Director on the side. He has traveled across the state and country for production, and hopes to share his experience with current students.
