Ashley N. Flores is a writer and producer with a passion for projects that "hide the broccoli in the popcorn.” With over a decade of experience in producing and education, she has created a diverse range of content, including short films, educational series, and branded content. Her personal experiences with the justice system, as well as her South Texas upbringing, have deeply influenced her storytelling perspective.
Her first short film, For Rosa, distributed on HBO Max, earned critical acclaim and awards, now distributed on Kanopy. Ashley served as a Segment Producer for Amazon Kids+ series Blippi’s Treehouse, and her most recent narrative short, Launch Fever, won four Telly Awards, was nominated for the 38th Annual Imagen Awards, and is distributed on Kanopy. She has worked for companies such as Hello Sunshine, Nickelodeon, and Devon Franklin Entertainment. Ashley is a 2021 PGA Create Fellow and recipient of a Google Grant.
Beyond producing, Ashley is involved in education. She plays a key role in Film Independent Artist Development programs, overseeing the selection for the Fiction programs, and Sloan Foundation grants. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts' Peter Stark Producing Program.
Ashley holds an M.F.A. from USC's Peter Stark Producing Program, an M.Ed., and a BFA from Texas State University. She resides in Los Angeles, CA.
