Larry Balmagia is an Emmy and Golden Globe winning writer and producer who has worked on many of television’s most iconic shows, including M*A*S*H, CHEERS, WINGS, SAVED BY THE BELL, and a long list of credits that make it seem like he should be in an old age home. He’s not. Larry made his first script sale as an undergrad in college (full disclosure: UCLA).
But even before that, growing up in Hollywood in the shadow of Paramount Studios, Larry would sneak on the lot as a kid to play on the old west set they used for the TV drama “Bonanza” and dig in the refuse bins for old Dick Van Dyke Show scripts. Years later Larry would be able to proudly drive through the gates of Paramount as a working writer and provide the refuse bins with scripts of his own.
