Rachel Feldman, M.F.A.
Rachel Feldman teaches directing and screenwriting in the MFA program.
Her directing credits include episodic series for ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, USA, WB, DISNEY CHANNEL and TEENICK and movies for LIFETIME and SYFY.
Ms. Feldman's produced writing credits include multiple movies for LIFETIME Television, SYFY and ABCFAMILY and the development of several studio-based features. Rachel had multiple cable pilot scripts in development in 2012 and 2011.
Ms. Feldman also works in Branded Entertainment and recently created two original webisode series for TNT/The Sponsor Shop. Previous clients include AOL and MATTEL.
Rachel’s MFA thesis film from NYU won over 25 awards including The Nissan Focus Award, Best Short at the New York and Chicago Film Festivals. Her subsequent short film, a musical produced exclusively on grants from The Jerome Foundation, The AFI Filmmaking Grant and The Panavision New Filmmakers Award, was sold to HBO, SHOWTIME and Channel 4 UK.
Ms. Feldman is an occasional film reviewer for the blog Women&Hollywood/Huffington Post where she posts reviews under the moniker “Feminist Mom Approved”. She has written for Variety and other national publications regarding gender parity behind the camera.
Ms. Feldman lives in Hollywood with her husband and two children. She is a proud member of both the DGA and WGA.
