JUSTIN WILSON MFA ‘98

Executive Director, Development

Justin Wilson serves as the USC School of Cinematic Arts’ Executive Director of Development, overseeing alumni programs in the Office of Advancement. With over 20 years of fundraising and alumni relations experience, Wilson manages the SCA Alumni Development Council in its efforts to strengthen connections with alumni and the School. During his tenure at SCA, Wilson established the SCA Network donor program along with the School’s first alumni e-newsletter.

With a background in journalism, Wilson spent several years teaching English in Japan and Spain before becoming a screenwriter and producer. Wilson co-wrote the feature film LUV, which was part of the dramatic competition for the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The film, which starred Common and Michael Rainey, Jr., garnered Wilson a Humanitas Prize nomination for Best Feature Film Script. Wilson also produced the ESPN original documentary film BALTIMORE BOYS.

Wilson holds a BA from the University of Virginia and an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He lives with his wife and daughter in Los Angeles.
