Sonia is the Associate Director for Academic Programs in the Division of Media Arts + Practice (MA+P). In addition to working closely with MA+P faculty and staff facilitating the day-to-day operations of the division, she also oversees curriculum development, exhibition management and student relations for the Honors in Multimedia Scholarship program, the minors in Digital Studies, Future Cinema and Media and Social Change, the BA in Media Arts + Practice and the Graduate Certificate in Digital Media and Culture.

Sonia graduated from USC with a bachelor’s degree in Biophysics and a master’s degree in Art and Curatorial Practices in the Public Sphere. Her focus is on media arts, public interactives, artist-led research projects and the museum/gallery as discursive space. In particular she is interested in how artists and designers can participate in knowledge production through creative collaboration with non-art professionals.
