Danny Sussman attended Ithaca College as a History and Journalism major. In 1988, Sussman joined the William Morris Agency [WMA] as a member of its agent trainee program. He swiftly moved through the ranks and served as a talent agent with WMA for ten years. His client roster included such actors as Steve Buscemi, Jeff Goldblum, Scott Glenn, Chloe Sevigny and Lili Taylor.
At WMA, he helped to cast and finance several independent features, including Buscemi’s Trees Lounge and Stanley Tucci’s films Big Night and The Impostors.
In 1998, SUssman joined Brillstein Entertainment Partners working as a talent manager with clients such as Noah Wyle, Jimmy Smits, Chloe Sevigny, John Stamos, Heather Locklear, Robert Sean Leonard and Jeffrey Tambor.
Sussman is chairman of all missions to Israel and Israel activity for the Los Angeles Jewish Federation and the Valley Alliance. He organizes the Jewish Federation’s Los Angeles Tel Aviv Partnerships Master Class at the Tel Aviv University Film School. He travels there each June to teach its students.
Sussman also teaches two classes at the University of Southern California. The first class is for sophomores matriculated in the business school. The second is a class of graduate students from the law school, cinema schools and Annenberg communications school.
Sussman has also taught at UCLA Extension for over five years. He currently sits on the Board of Governors for the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
