Enhancing the SCA Student Experience

Students at SCA have the unique opportunity to learn from award-winning faculty and industry professionals. They have access to a professional industry relations staff that provide guidance on internships and job opportunities. They have access to student-led organizations that allow for networking opportunities essential for our industry. Sitting in the entertainment capital of the world, SCA is poised to provide experiential learning opportunities that truly enhance the student experience. Participation in these outside-of-the-classroom opportunities is essential to a successful academic experience at SCA. With your help, we can enhance critical learning experiences and create new ones to further enrich the student experience.

SCA Emergency Fund

The SCA Emergency Fund was created to support students experiencing extreme financial difficulties. The need continues to be great and your gift makes a direct impact on the lives of our students with the most basic needs.

Our Voices Fund for Diversity & Inclusion at SCA

Our community is only as rich as its diverse perspectives and experiences. SCA is committed to providing each and every student fair and equitable opportunities, and committed to fostering an environment of openness and inclusion. Learn more about supporting our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Efforts, including Our Voices, a screening series and speakers series focused on highlighting diverse artists and works of art by SCA alumni and friends of the school.

Wellness at SCA

Student mental health is a critical component to academic success. A student who has the support they need in their personal lives will be in a better position to succeed in their academic and professional lives. At the School of Cinematic Arts, we have the unique opportunity to be the first school at the University of Southern California to support its students with in-house mental health and wellbeing services. The opportunity to provide a combination of clinical support and self-care activities will allow for our students to focus on their creative pursuits. Our goal is to enhance the services offered through the university while addressing the specific needs of the artists and scholars in our community.

SCA Equipment Fund

Supporting the SCA Equipment Fund allows us to obtain the latest cutting-edge equipment for our students. Technology is constantly changing, the need for up-to-date equipment will always be a priority for the school.

Industry Relations Festival Fund

The Office of Industry Relations provides professional development services to our students and alumni. Whether looking for an internship, festival support, or their First Job, Industry Relations is here to help. You can help support the efforts of our Industry Relations office, including supporting our Festival Fund. Submitting films to festivals is a costly endeavor, and supporting the Festival Fund will help us provide stipends to students for festival submissions and travel.

Student-Led Organizations

Creating community is critical to student success, and our student-run organizations provide a space for conversation and inclusion. If you are interested in supporting one of our student-run organizations, please contact Rachel Watson via email at rwatson@cinema.usc.edu or 213-740-2916.
