SCA students have a unique opportunity to acquire practical training while also learning the theory and critical aspects of telling stories with the moving image. Working in our state-of-the-art facilities, each of our talented students – whether they have aspirations to be a writer, director, animator, editor, sound designer, cinematographer, producer, game designer or scholar – receive hands on experience under the guidance of world-class faculty and an alumni network of more than 14,000.
Participation in the SCA Parent Project is one of the most powerful and unique ways for SCA families to assist the School in succeeding in its mission to train tomorrow’s leaders in film, television, new media and scholarship. The immense budget that is required to provide students with first-hand film school experience far exceeds annual tuition revenue. It is only through the generous support of friends, alumni and parents that we are able to offer an unparalleled learning experience and keep our students at the leading edge of a rapidly changing industry.
The Parent Project offers a broad range of opportunities to support SCA, as well as convenient contribution methods. Unrestricted gifts enhance programs, projects and extra-curricular activities designed to broaden perspectives and keep SCA at the forefront of film, television and arts education. Your gift can also be designated to the program of your choice including the Dean’s Fund, Student Support Funds, SCA Leadership Circle and planned giving just to name a few.
Making a gift to the SCA Parent Project is easy! You may give your support online or if you have questions or would like to receive additional information on supporting the school and its programs, please contact Rachel Watson, or call 213-740-2804.
