SCA Parent Partners

At the USC School of Cinematic Arts, your student is educated in world-class facilities with the same state-of-the-art technology they’ll be using in the industry. Their classes are led by world renowned practitioners who have built careers honing the very skills they’re teaching. And their education is supported by the generous gifts of alumni, industry partners, and other families who want to invest in the education of all SCA students.

Tuition alone doesn’t cover the immense cost of providing such a hands-on and in-depth education; in fact, it costs an additional $15,000 per student, per year.

Annual Commitments
SCA Parent Partners join a long tradition of nurturing the next generation of talented scholars and storytellers through helping to close that gap. Those who meet the need by committing to making a gift of $15,000 every year for four years become Provost members of the SCA Leadership Circle. You can direct your gift to support one of these two areas:

SCA Parents Fund

This fund supports the core educational experience at SCA and provides the Dean with flexibility to create new, innovative programs and respond to SCA’s greatest needs. Faculty, Student Services programs and other areas benefit from contributions made here. A gift here allows SCA to remain nimble in responding to the needs of students.

SCA Equipment Fund

The SCA Equipment Fund is a vital resource for maintaining the high level of experiential learning we are able to offer our students. Every SCA student gets the opportunity to create several short films during their time here and the cost of providing the equipment necessary for this endeavor is over $1.5 million annually. A gift here will directly support every student in SCA by helping us cover that cost.

Capstone Giving
Capstone gifts are multi-year commitments to support targeted areas of need at SCA through the establishment of individual endowed funds or estate gifts. To personalize your giving or learn more, please contact Assistant Dean and Senior Director of Development Rachel Watson at 213.740.2916.

The USC School of Cinematic Arts is considered the most storied and respected film school in the world and that is due in large part to the generosity of our families spanning nearly a century. Your gift - regardless of size - will have a tremendous impact on SCA students.
