Sky Ladder: The Art of Cai Guo-Qiang

USC Pacific Asia Museum and USC School of Cinematic Arts present a special screening of Netflix's Sky Ladder: The Art of Cai Guo-Qiang. This documentary highlights the life and work of the renowned artist, famous for his stunning pyrotechnic displays. Viewers will gain an understanding of Cai's ambitious artistic vision and the obstacles he overcomes to realize his Sky Ladder project.

Join us for the USC School of Cinematic Arts Dean's Reception, Welcome, and Student Showcase during Trojan Family Weekend. Start your morning with a light breakfast and coffee/tea in the scenic SCA Courtyard, where you can mingle with students, families, and faculty. Next, head to the Norris Theater for a special welcome from Dean Elizabeth Daley and Vice Deans Michael Renov and Akira Lippit. Be sure to stay for an inspiring showcase featuring the incredible work of three talented students. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with the USC Cinematic Arts community and celebrate emerging talent.

Ganek Immersive Studio Open House

Visit the Ganek Immersive Studio, located on the 3rd floor of the USC School for Cinematic Arts, for an exciting open house.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore projects produced in the lab and participate in interactive demonstrations, including an immersive projection screen and other hands-on experiences. Don't miss this chance to dive into cutting-edge technology and creative projects using virtual reality, augmented reality and XR.
