“As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.”

This fall, revisit, or experience for the first time, one of the most iconic genres in film history with Professor Todd Boyd in CTCS 464 - The Gangster Film. In addition to focusing on several cinematic gangster classics the 1970s to the present, students will also observe the influence of the gangster film on other forms of media and popular culture. Screenings to include Goodfellas, Casino, Across 110th Street, The Godfather, The Godfather Part Il, Scarface, Donnie Brasco, American Gangster and Gomorrah, among other titles.
