The Clermont-Ferrand international Short Film Festival is the largest and most important International Film Festival and Market dedicated to short film in the world.
Each year, Industry Relations Sandrine Faucher Cassidy, Senior Director Talent Development, Festivals & Distribution, is present there to help attending SCA students and alumni navigate the festival. But also, to promote all student and alumni projects at the Market to film buyers and programmers. Last year we had 67? films under the USC umbrella at the Market!
Submission Deadlines: July 11th, 2023 for films completed in 2022 (between October 1st and December 31st, 2022)
- October 3rd, 2023 for films completed in 2023. Click here to submit your short film
Regulations/Requirements:
Registration fee: Free of charge (There may be a small fee in the form of stamps to upload and submit your film via Short Film Depot)
Requirements:
- Films completed after: October 1st, 2022
- Maximum running time: 40 minutes
- Origin: All countries (except France)
- Festival screening format: DCP
Once you’ve submitted your USC or independent project, please email Sandrine (cassidy@cineme.usc.edu) and cc O’Shea” (omyles@cinema.usc.edu) your password protected Vimeo link, film title, Production number (if applicable) and synopsis. Email subject should be Clermont 2024 – Title of your film.
All the films entered in competition for the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival also qualify (free of charge) for their Short Film Market. All films submitted to the festival will be referenced in the short film market catalog with a photo, synopsis, key info and contact details for production and sales. For USC Student shorts, put Sandrine Cassidy as your sales contact.
