FESTIVALS & DISTRIBUTION VIRTUAL INFO SESSION SCHEDULE AND SIGN UP LINK
Industry Relations presents monthly Festivals & Distribution General Info Sessions. Learn about the first steps to submit to film festivals, strategic ways to choose where to apply, and get your general festival and distribution questions answered. Here are the remaining dates for your calendar.
The upcoming session on Friday 01/29 at 11:00 am-12:00 pm PST will be conducted virtually via zoom. Come join us! Link to sign up here. You will receive the meeting ID on the morning of the session.

How to Prepare for Session?
- Review Festival & Distribution resource packets on SCA Community under My Resources, Industry Relations section. Resources available: Festival Information Packet, List of Recommended Festival, and Distribution FAQ.
- Clear films for festivals. Submit your production book, screener (Password protected link), and master copy of film (Apple ProRes 422 or DNxHD) to Archives located in basement of Norris Theater. Contact Dino Everett at deverett@cinema.usc.edu for additional questions. 582 films and independent projects are excluded from this requirement.
- Film review by department. Please email cassidy@cinema.usc.edu: contact name, non-USC email, film title, link and password, running time, synopsis, and production number/independent.
Questions regarding clearance and rights for SCA Projects
- Review SCA Projects - Rights and Clearances section on SCA Community under My Resources. (Click "Add More Resources" on top). Documents available include: Music Policy, Production Book Check List, What to do to show my USC Project, Why go to USC and Copyright at USC, Intellectual Property Policy, Cinema agreement and copyright explanation.
