Summer Course IN GREECE: IML 543, Transdisciplinary Media Design Practicum

Heraklion, Crete | July 10 - August 6, 2019

This summer, the Division of Media Arts + Practice will be offering a 4-unit section of IML 543: Transdisciplinary Design Practicum  in Heraklion, Greece, in collaboration with students and faculty at the University of Crete.

The course topic will be "Compassionate Technologies: Evaluation and Rehabilitation of the Human Sense of Balance." Students will investigate art, media, and technology interventions applied to developmental disorders, trauma, injury, neurodegenerative disorders, chronic illness, and palliative care.

This course is open to all USC graduate students, as well as junior or senior undergraduates with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
