Why did you want to study Media Arts + Practice?
I chose MA+P because of its creative versatility. I knew I wanted to do something that would allow me to explore various forms of media while emphasizing social change.
How do you think SCA will prepare you for the career you want to have?
SCA will help me navigate the creative field and entertainment industry. I am excited to meet more like-minded people who might want to pursue similar passion projects.
What have been your greatest successes and challenges at school so far?
I have met many inspiring people who have taught me new perspectives that have adapted my view on the world. As for challenges, it was quite difficult in the beginning to learn how to be my own person in a new environment with so many new people.
What projects have you worked on that you’re proud of? OR What organizations are you involved with and why did you choose to join?
I am currently an intern for APASA, which is the APIDA student organization under the undergraduate student government. I joined because I was looking for a community and cultural organization that had both social and leadership aspects.
What advice would you give someone who is thinking about applying to SCA?
I would recommend someone who is thinking about applying to SCA to first thoroughly research their program and then begin ideating for their application as soon as possible so they have time to execute any extra pieces for their application.
