1) Why did you choose SCA? What are you studying?
I saw some students' work in the animation program at SCA in the school festival when I was an undergrad in Taiwan. Their films were powerful and diverse. As I searched for more information about the school, the teacher from my college told me that the faculty in SCA really support students' creative projects. Then, I thought this is the place where I want to learn and grow.
2) What has been your biggest challenge(s) so far in your time here?
The biggest challenge for me is finding the balance between networking and creating. I enjoy working on my projects day and night, but networking with people in the industry would help a lot on both the projects and my career path.
3) Is there a project you are working (or have completed) that you're especially proud of?

Between the Shadows is an animated short I made in my second year here. It combines my interests in both 2D and 3D. I worked a lot on the camera movement and the visual structure in this film to make the edits as smooth as possible.
4) Any advice for prospective students who would like to study in your division?
This program provides diverse approaches to making animation. Its good to be open-minded and try different things as much as you can. You might gain something unexpected and have a whole new perspective towards your own work.
5) Is there anything outside of your coursework –– an internship/project that you've been involved with? How did your work at SCA prepare you for it?
I was making an animation for the video wall in Japan this summer. It's an internship program between the animation department and the Tokyo Broadcasting System. The faculty helped me a lot, not only by providing technical support, but also by making sure I had a great time in Tokyo. It was an excellent opportunity for me to practice the things I learned at the school and experience a different working culture.
