Ever wonder what it’s like behind the closed doors of a Comedy Sitcom writing room? Look no further! USC’s "The Writers Room: What it's like to write for Sitcom Comedy Television" class gives you the knowledge and experience of working in a TV sitcom comedy writing room!

This class is specially designed for motivated students with strong interest in comedy screenwriting who desire to explore all steps necessary to complete a half-hour sitcom script.  Ideally, students should have a background in screenwriting and story structure as well as possess strong collaboration skills.  (Bring along your sense of humor.)  Because of the intensive nature of this 5 week course, the class will function as a sitcom writers’ room – providing support, critical feedback, and ideas – with the collective goal of helping each student complete their sitcom script by the end of the course.

Students will write a script for an existing (still in production) half-hour television series during a concentrated six-week time-frame.

*please note that dates and times of the course are subject to minor changes*
