Larry Auerbach
Associate Dean Larry Auerbach Endowed Chair
As Associate Dean of Student Industry Relations, Auerbach meets with
students who wish to have one-on-one discussions about their career paths, offers a realistic
perspective on working in the entertainment industry, and lends his advice and guidance on the
necessary steps to be taken upon graduating. When necessary, Auerbach reviews legal documents
involving students' contracts and/or deals.
A former agent with nearly 50 years of experience,
Larry Auerbach was the executive vice president of the William Morris
Agency and a member of its board of directors. During his tenure, Auerbach was the
head of the New York motion picture division; ran the television department
in Los Angeles; established the rock and roll division of the music department,
and represented clients like Norman Jewison and Bernardo Bertolucci.
He was instrumental in bringing movies such as The French Connection (1971),
Last Tango in Paris (1972), and Moonstruck (1987) to the big screen, and has
sold over 100 television features and series ranging from That Girl (1966-1971)
to The Cosby Show (1984-1992).
Bonnie Chi, B.A.
Director, Student-Industry Relations
In addition to working with current students and alumni and offering career guidance,
Bonnie Chi oversees the office of Student Industry Relations.
She meets with students on an individual basis, offering insight and industry advice,
along with reviewing resumes, and helping develop individual career plans. She also
cultivates and promotes USC talent to the entertainment industry.
Chi has over 13 years of entertainment experience starting at The Chasin Agency,
working her way over to the William Morris Agency until her move to the USC
School of Cinematic Arts.
Torrie Rosenzweig
Associate Director
Torrie Rosenzweig runs the Student Industry Relations new interactive job board,
assists with career services, and oversees the Cinematic Arts Mentorship Program.
With more than 15 years in the entertainment industry,
Rosenzweig has several television producing credits, and also wrote,
directed and produced a feature documentary film, a short narrative film,
and has been a member of IATSE Camera local 600.
