Helaine Head is a television director whose extensive credits include
Cagney And Lacey (1982), St. Elsewhere (1982), L.A. Law (1987-1988), Wiseguy (1987), Law And Order (1994), Touched By An Angel (1994), Frank's Place (1987), Soul Food (2000),
Sisters, Tour Of Duty and numerous others. She teaches directing courses include single camera television along with intermediate directing and the production experience.
Head received the Director's Guild Award for
You Must Remember This and directed
My Past Is My Own with Whoopi Goldberg which received the Humanitas Prize and several Emmy nominations. She also directed
Simple Justice, a PBS movie about Thurgood Marshall's struggle to overcome the "separate but equal" laws. As a theater director, her work includes
