Linda Brown is a celebrated cinematographer in documentaries and independent films, and teaches a host of production courses which include cinematography for directors, intermediate cinematography, and an advanced production seminar.
Brown has been awarded the Kodak Vision Award, a Los Angeles Emmy Award and a Cine Eagle. Her films, including
Take Two,
Sexual Tension,
The Poet’s Wife, and
Walking to Waldheim have showcased on Showtime and at the Athens, Palm Springs, and New York film festivals, among others.
She has shot documentaries for PBS, and music videos for CMT and VH1. Her recent work on
A Tribute to Mel Blanc, the famous voice specialist for every major character in the Warner Brothers cartoon pantheon, and American Beauties, a dinner table discussion with five leading contemporary painters, reflects her wide range of interests.
She has served as an Artist in Residence for Eastman Kodak and has been invited to teach classes throughout the United States as well as in Hong Kong. Brown was also a Cinematography Fellow at the American Film Institute.
