An Evening of Taiwanese Short Films and Meeting with Young Taiwanese Filmmakers

The USC School of Cinematic Arts and the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Los Angeles invite you and a guest to a special meeting with Young Taiwanese Filmmakers and a screening of several Taiwanese Short Films.
About the Event
Four young and talented Taiwanese directors currently working in Hollywood, whose short films have won and been nominated for international awards, will screen selected shorts and participate in a post-screening panel discussion. These promising directors include: Chihwen Lo, who was granted rare status as an Extraordinary Outstanding Artist by the United States government in 2009; Ignatius Lin, who won Best Short at the 2011 Macau International Movie Festival; Posheng Chiang, who earned the prestigious nomination for Best Director at the 2010 Seoul International Drama Awards; and Marshall Law, whose works have won dozens of international commercial awards.
Screenings will include:
-- Stranger Now, 4 minutes (Premiered at the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival)
-- Homecoming, 30 minutes (Nominated for Best Director, Seoul Int'l Drama Awards)
-- Voodoo Bear, 1 minute (Best commercial, College Television Emmy Award)
-- Undie Bear, 1 minute (Nominated-- National Addy Awards)
-- Teddy Bear, 30 seconds (9 Commercial Awards)
-- Angel In The Shoe, 30 seconds (W3 Awards)
-- An Unquiet Mind, 6 minutes (Screened in more than 40 international film festivals)

Check-In & Reservations
This screening is free of charge and open to the public. Please bring a valid USC ID or print out of your reservation confirmation, which will automatically be sent to your e-mail account upon successfully making an RSVP through this website. Doors will open at 6:30 P.M.
All SCA screenings are OVERBOOKED to ensure seating capacity in the theater, therefore seating is not guaranteed based on RSVPs. The RSVP list will be checked in on a first-come, first-served basis until the theater is full. Once the theater has reached capacity, we will no longer be able to admit guests, regardless of RSVP status.
The USC School of Cinematic Arts is located at 900 W. 34th St., Los Angeles, CA 90007. Parking passes may be purchased for $10.00 at USC Entrance Gate #5, located at the intersection of W. Jefferson Blvd. & McClintock Avenue. We recommend parking in outdoor Lot M or V, or Parking Structure D, at the far end of 34th Street. Please note that Parking Structure D cannot accommodate tall vehicles such as SUVs. Metered street parking is also available along Jefferson Blvd.
