A screenwriter for over 30 years, Stu Krieger has written a dozen Disney Channel original movies, including Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, Phantom of the Megaplex, Smart House, Tru Confessions and the Humanitas-nominated Going to the Mat. He wrote three hours of the Emmy-winning mini-series A Year in the Life and episodes of Amazing Stories, Jack’s Place and To Have and To Hold. Feature credits include the animated classic The Land Before Time for producers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, as well as family movies Monkey Trouble and A Troll in Central Park.  In 2009, he was the head writer and story editor on 26 episodes of the preschool series Toot and Puddle for Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. He has a B.A. and an honorary doctorate from the State University of New York at Brockport.  In addition to his duties at USC, Mr. Krieger is Chair of the Department of Theatre, Film & Digital Production at the University of California, Riverside, teaching writing for film and television.
